Thinking about having your next get-together, family celebration, birthday, or office party at the pool? Then just read on to learn how to make use of this wonderful Membership Benefit at the New Milford Swim Club!
Members wishing to host parties during normal pool hours are welcome to do so. Our primary concerns when considering a request for a party are the safety of all swimmers and the enjoyment of other members at the time of the party. Please check the calendar for swim team meets or other potential conflicts.
Please fill out the party request form below ideally at least 1-2 weeks before your event. We will make every attempt to reply to your request within 2-4 business days. If you have not heard back from us by then please follow up by sending an email to email@example.com.
All requests must be made by a current member who should be present for the duration of the party. Parties must always have sufficient adult supervision. Lifeguards cannot provide support of any sort for parties with small children. The New Milford Swim Club Party Host is responsible for their guests at all times. Each guest must be familiar with the pool rules, especially diving rules.
Parties of less than 10 guests: Are welcome anytime. We ask that you still please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
Parties of 10 – 25 guests: Due to demands on the pool these parties are subject to approval by the pool manager, and may require board approval, depending on the requested size/date/time. Requests at quieter times (weekday evenings, early Sunday mornings, or August dates for example) are generally easier to accommodate.
Parties of more than 25 guests: Are hard for the pool to accommodate at any time. All requests of this nature are subject to approval by the pool manager, and may require board approval, depending on the requested size/date/time.
Fees: Guests will be charged current guest fee, $12 per person, for the time of the party. Members are asked to purchase guest passes at the front office. At the end of the party members just settle up at the $12 a person by credit card or check. If members want their guests to pay for themselves, you just tell us that. In addition, hosts may be asked to cover any additional lifeguard costs if the pool manager thinks the size of the party requires additional coverage.
Guest List: Lastly, please ensure you provide the front office with a finalized guest list (including parents who will be accessing the pool grounds even if not swimming) on the morning of the event. This will greatly help expedite getting guests checked in quickly. The front office staff will check off guests as they arrive and gives wristbands to each. Guests that are current NMSC members will not be charged the party guest fee if they are attending a scheduled party. Current members attending a party should announce this information to the front office and once verified by staff, they can enter free of charge. Please indicate on your guest list if someone is already a NMSC member.
Parents remaining for the party would be counted as a guest even if they are not swimming. A parent merely coming in quickly to drop off their child will not be counted against your guest fees.
Hosts are welcome to bring their own food and drink. Food and drinks are permitted only in the picnic areas of the Club during parties. Alcohol and glass bottles are NOT permitted on the Club grounds.
Members are responsible for clean-up of their picnic/party area once a party has ended. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fine. There will be no refunds given due to inclement weather after the party has started.
